Reflecting On Our Move...

Looking back over the last year - it has been quite amazing.  Yes, at first glance - an earlier move than expected from Hawaii came as a shock to both Audrey and me, but as time has moved on we have come to realize the hand of God on our lives.  I have to remind myself that I shouldn’t be so shortsighted and to understand that God knew long ago the plans that He has for our lives.  God has given us some unbelievable tools while at New Hope.  Audrey and I have grown immeasurably under the mentorship of Pastor Wayne and his wife Anna.  There are times that we would want to stay in the warm cocoon of learning, but we have genuinely realized that the greatest growth is going to come from walking out all that we have learned.

Just a couple of days ago, during my journaling, the Lord showed me that His hand is on us and our family and ministry.  While finances and schedule might be the outward appearance for moving to Goodland - the Lord’s plans are so much deeper and far reaching.  It is so easy to buck under the pressures of our own desires rather than to realize the power of His leading.  With that said - we truly are excited about what the Lord has in store for us in Goodland.  The church that we will be serving is pastored by my father and is one of the leading churches in that community.  The people at the church have a heart for God and a passion for reaching Northwest Kansas.

We will be arriving in Goodland on November 6th.  Most of our belongings have already arrived via FedEx.  Once we get there we will be in search of housing, and because we sold most of our belongings in Hawaii, we will be needing to furnish our home.  Be in prayer for us over the next 2-3 weeks as we settle in Goodland.  Also, be praying for the ministry in Goodland.  There are countless people who need the Lord and need to understand the value that they have in Christ.  Pray that God would give us wisdom beyond our understanding how to not only reach the lost of Northwest Kansas, but also to develop leaders that will in turn take the Gospel to places that you and I could never reach on our own.

Keep checking the website - very soon we will be sharing with you more in-depth about the ministry in Goodland Kansas.
