After a good couple weeks of hard work, we have finally made it into our new home.  Instead of being 15 miles and about 45 min away from New Hope, we are now about 2 miles and 5 min away.  It has been so freeing to be close.  It is allowing us to be so much more involved in everything that is going on. 

The Lord has been so faithful.  About a month before our move, we knew that we needed to not only get closer in but also we needed to trim some of our expenses.  Knowing that it is more expensive to live closer in, we began praying that the Lord would open up the doors and provide a place that is not only closer, but more cost effective.

The very first place that we viewed ended up becoming our new home.  It was totally God!  Have you ever had one of those times that you knew it was just right?  Our new landlord is great!  His name is Troy and he is also a member of New Hope and is excited about being able to help us out. 

We are now living on the 26th floor of a high rise building and have an unbelievable view of Honolulu and the ocean.  Because of the move we have had to sell off quite a bit in order to fit into this 2 bedroom apartment.  It’s actually been really good.  The Lord has been showing us all what is really important in our lives.  It’s amazing how much “stuff” you can accumulate in such a short amount of time!  We have also sold my car and traded it in for a new scooter.  Being so close to church and the weather being practically perfect every day, we didn’t see much use for a second car.

Anyway, now that the move is over, the family is getting used to elevator life, and we are truly enjoying being closer together.  Life is exciting and changing everyday but the Lord is good and He takes us on this adventure that we call life.  As much as it might be a struggle and sometimes we can’t see all that He is doing, we are never disappointed at how it comes out in the end.  The Lord is good!
